This sketch is based on the idea that your room is 12'x8' with an 11' ceiling. The loft is 8'x8'. It's lower clearance is 6'. The hall becomes closet space and is lofted as well. Beneath the loft,closet space runs the 8' width of the room behind the curtains. A 10' shelf as desk top runs along the brick walls length. The interior of the stairs may be used as a closet and or shelved. the lower landing may be hinged and used as shoe storage.
